Rec Alkaline Oy, a Finnish innovation company, has developed an effective method for producing complex mineral fertilizers by recycling alkaline batteries. The patented technology takes the recycling process to a new level and has many advantages:

Rec Alkaline technology consumes 9 times less energy than conventional smelting methods and does not cause harmful emissions. The processing efficiency reaches 90%, while the traditional smelting method is limited to 50% and does not meet the requirements of the European Union. Manganese extraction from batteries is much more efficient, faster and cheaper than the mining method used by the main competitors.
The Finnish company Rec Alkaline Oy is interested in finding a partner in Poland for the production of mineral fertilizers based on innovative technology for the recovery of microelements from used alkaline batteries in the recycling process. The fertilizer production plant is currently being built with the support of European funds in Finland. The project will be ready by mid-2017. The company is looking for a partner either to invest in a factory in Poland or cooperation based on a license or a shared patent.
