Peter Frank, PhD, has acted as the General Secretary of ScanBalt since 2004. Previously he worked for the Danish industrial biotechnology association Dansk Biotek, Medicon Valley Alliance and Confederation of Danish Industries. He has been coordinator and partner in several EU projects with a focus on innovation and commercialization.
The Baltic Sea Region and Northern Europe is a Global Hotspot for biotechnology based innovation as international rankings demonstrates. One of the competitive advantages is that we can do trans-national collaboration on a macro-regional level which is much harder to achieve in any other place of Europe.
The presentation will provide concrete examples on macro-regional collaboration enhancing product and service development and strengthening access to the market. Finally it will take a look into the future for the long-lasting collaboration in ScanBalt, the macro-regional accelerator.
